IMDI 2023 Event Report

IMDI 2023 was a two-day conference and Technology Display Show held in Chennai for the medical devices, plastic disposables and implants industry. The event focused on manufacturing, quality, and regulatory challenges and opportunities.

The report records IMDI as a pioneer and the only event dedicated to the medical plastic disposables and implants industry in India. The 2023 edition brought together 220 delegates, 26 expert speakers, and 20 exhibitors.

Technology Display Show Highlights

• The exhibition displayed materials, adhesives, new technologies, manufacturing and testing equipment, packaging and sterilization equipment, and services for medical devices, implants and diagnostics.
• Report highlights included materials, manufacturing equipment, contract manufacturing, biocompatibility testing, regulatory support, industry associations, publications, packaging and other services.
• The event was organised by Medical Plastics Data Service and MediSource Asia. Supporting organisations were the Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AiMeD), The All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association, Association of Diagnostics Manufacturers of India, EEPC India, Indian Plastics Institute, Society of Plastics Engineers and Consultants Consortium of Chennai.
