Shriram Institute for Industrial Research (SRI) is Contract
Research Organisation of its kind in India, engaged in a wide
range of R&D, analytical and related activities, covering
material science, life science and bio science. Over the last
seven decades of its existence, SRI has built a formidable
reputation for quality and reliability, and is a well-known name
across industries.
A
wide range of toxicological studies are undertaken as per
National and International guidelines. All studies conducted at
SRI are in accordance with the regulatory requirements of OECD,
Schedule Y, EU, EPA, ICH, OPPTS, ISO & CIB guidelines under GLP
conditions. SRI has been recommended by US FDA for 510k
registration for testing of medical devices.
SRI
undertake the studies on Medical Devices which are not limited
to the following:

Biocompatibility Study as per
ISO 10993/ ASTM/ USFDA

In-Vivo Studies: Systemic
Toxicity, Intracutaneous Toxicity, Implantation,
Sensitization, Intraperitoneal, Sub Chronic/ Subacute,
Genotoxicity, Haemolysis/ Haemocompatibility.

In-Vitro Studies: Cytotoxicity

Residual ETO/ECH/EG analysis as
per ISO:10993 Part 7

Residual study of drug eluting
stent.

Disinfection & cleaning
validation of reusable Medical Devices.

Sterilisation by Gamma
Irradiation.

Characterisation/ Identification
of medical devices made up of various polymers.

Mechanical testing.

Sterility & Bacterial Endotoxin
